ACVA 2009 Fundraising Update

The American of College of Vedic Astrology, Inc. has just completed another wonderful year of service, development and growth and we would like to continue this momentum into 2009. We all benefit from the generosity of you who have a heartfelt belief in the perpetuation of the ancient Vedic sciences in the West. The ACVA Online development team headed by William Levacy and Jessica Sayles completed the course content for Level II.
In 2008 ACVA was a co-sponsor of the highly successful United Astrology Conference held in Denver, Colorado during May with over 1,500 attendees as well as the National Ayurvedic Medicine Association conference in Chicago, Illinois in October.
We plan to hire Charlotte Benson as the ACVA Executive Director to help establish the ACVA International Alumni Association and create monthly webinars. Christina Collins has created a wonderful ACVA News eNewsletter, which was successfully launched in January 2009. The next ACVA News issue will be sent to you by Valentine's Day, February 14th, 2009.
Due partially to the challenging recessional times we are all experiencing, ACVA really needs your financial support at this time of great opportunity. The ACVA Online College, book and tape sales, ACVA sponsored conferences and healing intensives approximate only 25-35% of the annual funds needed. To this end, we are establishing the 2009 ACVA Fund Raising Drive with the goal of raising $108,000 by the end of 2009.
Currently, we have raised over $6,000 in 2009. Specific needs are presented below as well as our need for donations for general operations.
We are also striving to continue to build the ACVA Endowment Fund which we hope, in time, will be able to provide us with a large percentage of our annual operating budget through interest earned on the endowment principal. We currently have about $30,000 in the ACVA Endowment Fund and hope to have it increase by $25,000 to $50,000 per year over the next ten years.
You can make a donation on our web site at http://www.acvaonline.org/make-a-donation-to-acva for the general funds or you can specify that your donation be used for a particular activity. As a
501 - (c)(3) organization, all donations to the American of College of Vedic Astrology are tax-deductible.
The following is a partial list of our needs in 2009:
There are many ways that one can give: some of them quite innovative. We can send you a brochure on giving through living memorials which can assist you in choosing a creative way in which you might like to give to the American of College of Vedic Astrology. Donate Now on VedicAstrology.org
On behalf of ACVA, I would like to thank once again all of you who have given your blessings and financial assistance in the past. The American of College of Vedic Astrology would not have grown to where it is now without your divine help.

Dennis M. Harness, Ph.D., President
American College of Vedic Astrology, Inc.
