June 13 to July 16 the Sun moves into Gemini

June Planetary Tips

Planetary Ingress for June 13 to July 16 2009

Gemini Sun from June 13 until July 16th .

Mercury is in Taurus and remains direct in motion until September 7th.

Mars in own sign of Aries

Venus continues in Aries becoming sandi at 29 degrees on June 28th and moving into its own sign of Taurus on the 29th.

Jupiter in Capricorn direct becoming Retrograde on Monday the 16th of June, and moving back towards Capricorn, its sign of debilitation. Sandi at 00’56 on July 22nd , the same day as the Total Eclipse of the Sun in Cancer. (come back next month to ACVA-News July for more on this.)

Mercury moves into its own sign of Gemini on June 30th, which improves matters related to the Sun while transiting in this sign. (Mercury no longer travels in the 12th house of “loss,” from the Sun).

Mars will be Sandi at 29 Aries on July 2nd and moves to into the earth sign of Taurus on July 3rd . Be extremely careful of fire, electricity, fireworks, for the 4th of July weekend in the USA. Danger of fire increases when Mars transits in an earth sign. Couple this with the fact that it will aspect its enemy Saturn, who is in an enemy’s house Leo, again fire. There will definitely be more fires. Considering that the Sun will be in an air sign, Gemini and in Ardra Nakshatra (ruled by Rahu) and Rahu at 6’18 Capricorn will aspect this Mars at 00 Taurus – these combined three factors can also cause air disasters, earthquakes of significance, explosions and volcanic eruptions!

On Saturday the 4th, Mercury also moves into the Ardra Nakshatra. Ardra is associated with wind, so once again caution with fire. I would also postpone sky-diving, bungee jumping type activities to another weekend. If you are performing yaghas or pujas this weekend in honor of Guru Purnima festivities, please take extra caution with your fire pits or candles.

July 7th, is Full Moon in Sagittarius and Guru Purnima. The Moon will be in the Venus star of Purva Ashada, giving a Venus Dasa while Venus continues transiting in own sign of Taurus and the Sun in Punarvasu, the constellation of renewal.

July 12th , Sunday - Mars in Taurus not only receives the aspect of Rahu, but also hits the same degree 6’13 as Rahu and Ketu. Status Quo in what you eat, not a day to be adventurous.

July 13th, Mercury, though in Bhadra Yoga from the Pisces Moon, becomes exactly combust the Sun at 27 Gemini. It becomes sandi at 29 late in the day on July 14th, then late on the evening of the 14th moves into Cancer joining Ketu.. (Bhadra Yoga, formed by Mercury is one of the five Pancha Mahapurusha Yogas or unions of planets. Mercury is associated with intellect and communications).

July 15th as the Sun rises it will be 29 Gemini, as will the Pisces Moon at 29. (Based on EDT). Be careful driving this morning. Mercury moves into 0 degrees of Cancer. (People born with Mercury in Cancer are superior worriers. When Mercury transits this sign, there will be a tendency to worry more. Just remember, that worry is a wasted emotion. As you catch yourself worrying, replace it with a positive thought or two, and say something nice to yourself before you go to sleep at night.) On a positive note, In Cancer, this year Mercury conjuncts Ketu, which increases, intuition.

July 16th The Sun moves into Cancer (along with Mercury and Ketu) This moves towards our next Solar eclipse on the 22nd and the Lunar eclipse the evening of August 5th. More about that next month!

Namaste,

Christina
