ACVA News February 2010 Light Notes

By Vachaspati Christina Collins

When a wheel squeaks ... it gives you auditory advice that it needs … assistance … in the wheel’s case, oil.

Paralleled, if a country needs help, sometimes, its very foundation cracks – making such a crashing noise that its dramatic cry for help rebounds around the world.

Karma, the law of action, “what goes out – returns", on the surface, an earthquake of the 7.0 magnitude that occurred Tuesday, January 12th in Haiti may appear to some, as simply an extension of the karma that this poor struggling nation has, and or the “cross” they have to bear.

However, perhaps in the long run, this is “good,” karma – that in the wake of dramatic suffering – the aid that pours in for both healing and rebuilding will create stronger and more stable realities, along with education and rebuilding for better lives for all concerned, even amidst the horrors and the sorrows, of those left behind. Ever remembering that those that have moved on, may have moved forward into a much preferable and better situation. Once I heard Maharishi Mahesh Yogi say, “ Life is always in the direction of progress,” and with that thought in mind, I hope they all have moved to a better and higher place.

Having researched and studied earthquakes and earth disasters and their astrological reference and signatures for several decades – a 7.0 on the Richter scale stands out as more than unusual for the Caribbean! In 1992, I subscribed to a service with the USGS that sends me an email every time an earthquake occurs at 5.0 or higher. If you want to watch these charts for yourself, the signup link is below. Remember to manually change the longitude and the latitude for the long/lat of the epicenter of the quake, not the city of experience when you are calculating the chart.

( -- then sign up for the email earthquake notification service. )

Many notable earthquakes of great magnitude now occur annually in greater and greater numbers. Key astrological research needs to focus on location. Even with the great strides of geo physicists and the satellite thermal imaging of NASA – exactly “where,” an earthquake might occur, still has an element of the weather report – we can know for certain “when,” they will occur, "but where?" is still a deep issue.

For a number of years I have researched using NAMA (name) Nakshatras prasna for assisting me in predicting. The earthquake chart and its name sounds stand out as VERY interesting!

Ketu has the sound HAY (Haiti)

Saturn has the sound PUH (Port au Prince)

Initially, there were maybe 20 earthquakes at 5.0 a year, and a 5.0 was something to quickly calculate a chart for. Now, 5’s have become common. And 7’s more and more appear upon the scene. People ask me “when will these earth changes happen, 2012?” I respond, “They happen every day, and they increase gradually over time. The increase is so subtle, that we might not notice the increase.

Especially those of us, who do not live near the heavy activity areas, for example near active volcanoes, on islands, on or near known faults, or near the Pacific Rim where the majority of earthquakes occur.

Mercury is the most unstable planet. As the smallest, densest and innermost planet in the solar system (heliocentric or Sun centered) its close proximity to the Sun, and the gravitational pull of the Sun create instability for Mercury. Its orbit, anything but ordinary, looks like a pebble skimming across a pond as it circles the Sun. The fact that Mercury in the chart ruled the Gemini Ascendant, disposited the Ketu in Gemini, held so many planets in Maraka houses (2 and 7), including a difficult retrograde debilitated Mars in Cancer, led to such loss of life.
